COMPREHENSIVE HIV SERVICES

Comprehensive HIV services

MJAP has a strong track record providing comprehensive HIV services in different regions of Uganda with over 15 years’ experience in 23 districts, the two national referral hospitals and seven regional referral hospitals in the country.

MJAP currently supports the provision of comprehensive HIV/AIDS services in Mulago and Butabika National Teaching Referral Hospitals, Kiruddu Hospital, and Makerere University Hospital. We implement the following services using a patient-centered approach through the Differentiated Service Delivery Model (DSDM);

• HIV Testing Services
• HIV Care and Treatment
• Integrated TB-HIV services
• Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC)
• Integrated Prevention Services for Gender-Based Violence
• HIV services for Key and Priority populations
• Integrated Facility - Community Services

MJAP recognizes that quality HIV services go beyond the health facility and due to the wide range of needs that clients in care have other than medical services.

To this effect, we collaborate with the Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to effect bidirectional referral between the community and health facilities. CBOs support physical escorting of clients to the referral sites especially for initiation of ART.
