Dr. Barigye is the Director of Mbarara Regional and Referral Hospital. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Technical and Personal Assistant to the Honorable former Minister of Health, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda. Dr. Barigye has also served as Bushenyi District Health Officer and a Lecturer at Kampala International University.
Professor Umar Kakumba

Umar Kakumba is Associate Professor (Public Sector Management) and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Makerere University. He is the immediate former Dean of the Faculty at School of Business and Management at Makerere, a position he held for eight years. He previously served as Head, Department of Management at Makerere University.

Mrs. Ochieng is an advocate of the High Court with over 10 years’ experience as an in-house legal counsel at Makerere University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB), Post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (DLP), Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management (PGDPAM), Masters in Theology and Contextualized Pastoral Ministry.

He trained as a physician at Makerere University and trained in evidence-Based Medicine from the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Belgium. He has a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of California Berkeley, USA and postgraduate training in implementation Science from the University of California San Francisco.
