In August, we concluded a site monitoring visit conducted by the project Investigator Dr. Semitala Fred and the regulatory team from MUJHU Care Ltd in Kamuli district. The PATCH3H-IN project, implemented by MU-JHU, Baylor Uganda, and the University of California San Francisco, is using Implementation Science to design and understand stakeholder-informed innovative interventions to improve youth HIV prevention and care continuums in rural and urban Uganda.
This 5-year study aims;
- to conduct formative research to enhance understanding of the barriers and facilitators for implementation of the proposed HIV prevention,
- to assess the rollout of culturally acceptable, feasible HIV prevention and care interventions among Adolescents and Young Adults
- to strengthen the capacity of implementation science and to translate findings into policy.
