The Makerere University Joint AIDS Program (MJAP) emerged from the Mulago-Mbarara Teaching Hospitals Joint AIDS Program (MJAP), which was established in November 2004 under the then Makerere University Faculty of Medicine. It is Uganda’s trusted leader in translating evidence into national HIV policy and practice. With nearly two decades of experience, MJAP delivers high-impact HIV prevention, care, treatment, and health systems strengthening programs in Uganda’s highest-burden regions, including Kampala and East-Central Uganda.
