We held our first dissemination meeting for the AIM ONE findings of the PATCH3-IN study at the Kamuli District Youth Centre.
The event brought together adolescents, young adults, and caregivers to receive and reflect on the results of the formative research, which explored the barriers and opportunities for delivering innovative HIV prevention and care interventions — specifically CAB-LA (long-acting injectable PrEP) and the SEARCH-YOUTH model.
With the leadership of @ED MJAP, the Principal Investigator, the PATCH3-IN project is applying implementation science to understand and design stakeholder-informed, innovative interventions aimed at improving the HIV prevention and care continuum for young people in both rural and urban Uganda.
Today’s dissemination event — and the invaluable participant feedback gathered — sets the stage for AIM TWO, which will focus on the design and implementation of youth-centered HIV prevention and care models.
